MHATC and Maryland’s Commitment to Veterans

The Mental Health Association in Talbot County is proud to host in our office Mike Bargiband, the Eastern Shore Regional Coordinator of Maryland’s Commitment to Veterans program. This project is an outreach and referral initiative designed to help veterans and their families obtain the services they need.

The Mental Health Association in Talbot County supplements the work of Michael Bargiband with limited funding in its “Veterans Initiative”, which can assist veterans in crisis until their Veterans Administration benefits are in place. Funding for this program is provided from donations.

Annual Veterans Information Fair (Military Muster) and Appreciation Luncheon

The Mental Health Association in Talbot County sponsors this event each January with the assistance of other community groups. The Information Fair provides valuable resource information on programs and benefits that are currently available for veterans.
The Appreciation Luncheon, with music and food provided by community groups, provides an opportunity for the community to thank veterans for their service.
